“Our third quarter performance is a strong indication that we are still on track to meet our PHP100 billion revenue targets by year-end, despite the President’s decision to ban offshore casino gaming operations in the country,” Mr. Tengco stated.
Increased assistance for the growth of the country:
The amount of money PAGCOR contributed to nation-building rose by 40.4% to Php48.9 billion (US$839 million). The National Treasury received half of this sum, Php33.2 billion (US$570 million), with a sizable amount designated for PhilHealth to finance the Universal Healthcare Law. The agency also paid Php421.4 million (US$7.2 million) in corporate income taxes and Php3.49 billion (US$59.9 million) in franchise fees to the Bureau of Internal Revenue, fulfilling its tax responsibilities.
In order to improve assistance for athletes and coaches, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) was given Php1.65 billion (US$28.3 million) as its contribution. Php90.7 million (US$1.6 million) has been set aside as incentives for Filipino athletes’ accomplishments overseas, with the goal of improving their performance in international events.
The strong financial outcomes and strategic achievements of PAGCOR highlight the organization’s critical role in fostering community development and advancing the Philippine economy. The organization is still dedicated to using its resources to advance the country and make sure the casino gaming industry continues to thrive sustainably as it looks to the future.
